Can I repair it myself?

I have a Saeco Vienna Plus Superautomatic, the expresso side works fine, but water/steam no longer comes out of the steam wand.

Notice if you can hear the pump when you are opening for steam. If you dont hear it ther is a problem at the switch. If you hear it then the tube is just blocked with milk.
“Thanks, I can hear the pump, plus the espresso side is working. I also concluded that it is just plugged, but I don’t know how to get to the tube to clear it. I can’t descale normally because the steam side isn’t getting water. Can I access the tube with std. tools ie. screwdrivers and/or allen wrenches?”

The tube is blocked at the point where you put it in the milk. You just need to unblock it with something thin like a needle .

Yep, did that. It was the first thing I tried. Cleaned the pannarello and removed it from the steel tube and used a pin to make sure it was also clear.

OK, Excellent pics! I removed and flushed it out. Still no luck. RE: the pump. When I first open the steam valve, the pump starts then all I hear is a ticking sound and I close the valve for fear something will overheat.

I saw your machine and there is two parts that can stop the water. The most possible is the steam swich, that is plastic part and pushing a metal part to opens water. That plastic some times brakes and cant push no more the metal part.Try while you turnning the button for steam to press it in.This is exactly the move that the button do inside. If you want to see that you must get of the machines cover. To the following picture you will see the plastic part I m talking about.

At the small red cycle is the plastic part that brakes. At the green square is the metal part that moves and let the water run.

That was it!!! YOU are AWESOME! I pulled out the steam knob and the plastic part came with it. It doesn’t look broken so I aligned it and pressed it back in and water ran out. There is a slight leak around the metal tube and if I continuously press on the knob water/steam flow is normal, if I stop pressing then the flow turns to a dribble.

I have to press in on the steam knob to make it flow water/steam. Where can I get the plastic part that you circled in the above diagram?
